Rodents can enter an RV through surprisingly small openings—especially around slide‑out mechanisms. RV Rodent Guard is a purpose‑built, mechanical solution designed to block this common entry point before unwanted pests make their way inside your RV.
Protects 3/4" hydraulic and 2" electric actuated slide-outs mechanisms.
Unlike sprays, foams, or temporary fixes, RV Rodent Guard physically protects the exposed opening in the RV frame where the slide‑out pushrod operates, helping prevent damage, odors, and costly repairs. Made from tough ABS plastic, stainless steel hardware and strong neodymium magnets.
RV Rodent Guard is sold individually and one is required per hydraulic or electric actuated slide-out mechanism.
Please Note: Most RVs equipped with hydraulic slide-outs have sufficient clearance for the guard to remain installed when the slide is retracted. However, clearance should be verified on your specific RV before permanent installation.
For RVs with electric slide-outs, the guard must be removed before retracting the slide. We recommend incorporating guard installation and removal into your normal campsite setup and departure routine for convenience and optimal protection.
For shipments to Canada:
Duties apply when the shipment value is $150 CAD or more, Import taxes (GST/HST) apply when the shipment value is $40 CAD or more.
This means shipments under $40 CAD are exempt from both duties and taxes, shipments between $40-$149 CAD are subject to taxes only, and shipments $150 CAD and above are subject to both duties and taxes.Please note that duties and taxes are not included in your order total and will be collected by the carrier at delivery.
We recommend using USPS for shipments to Canada. While delivery may be slower, it is more cost‑effective and avoids the additional brokerage fees charged by UPS.
Order Processing:
In stock items typically ship the same day or the next business day after your order is placed. Transit time is dependent on the shipping level and carrier selected at checkout. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

We have a 30‑day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be in the same condition as received
- All hardware must be attached
- Breakout tabs must be intact
- The item must be unused and uninstalled
Items that have been installed, modified, or damaged due to improper handling are not eligible for return.
How to Start a Return
To start a return, please contact us at returns@rvrodentguard.com and include:
- Your order number or the email used to place the order
- The reason for the return
- Customer is responsible for return shipping charges
If your return request is approved, we will provide a return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package.
Important: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Damages & Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if:
- The item is defective
- The item is damaged
- You received the wrong item
We’ll evaluate the issue and work quickly to make it right.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you whether your refund has been approved.
If approved:
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method less return shipping charges
- Processing occurs within 10 business days
- Your bank or credit card company may require additional time to post the refund

Rodent Prevention in 3 Easy Steps

Step 1
RV Rodent Guard is sized to fit up to 3/4" hydraulic slide‑out pushrods. For up to 2" electric rack‑and‑pinion mechanisms, simply remove the perforated center section. To install, unlock the guard, position it around the slide‑out pushrod, then close and lock it securely in place.

Step 2
Slide the RV Rodent Guard toward the RV frame, checking for clearance around nearby components such as slide arms, brackets, or fasteners. If interference is present, use the perforated trim areas or carefully notch the guard with tin snips as needed. Tip: Test‑fit before trimming. Remove small amounts of material and recheck fit.

Step 3
Once clearance issues have been resolved, slide the RV Rodent Guard fully against the RV frame. The integrated neodymium magnets will create a strong yet removable bond, securing the guard in place.

Works as designed. Easy to install fast shipping. After installing I noticed other holes in frame were slide out brackets were weld to frame for mice to get into and plug with copper mesh Glad I had time time to take good look underneath the rv
when received the guards i was going to wait until we got back from a trip.
had a rat that was chewing up wires it happened to jump out when sitting by slide out I immediately installed them the later he was running up and down the frame trying to find the hole. I highly recommend this product will never have another camper without them!

Great, took a lot of trimming to fit beside the slide mechanism. Ended up with part of the narrow edge gone.
Just received 2 Rodent Guards for our 5th wheel slide outs. Delivered in a very reasonable time line. Had to snap out the perforated section for the larger hole size which was a breeze and had both guards installed in under 5 minutes. Fit like a glove and hopefully we have sealed the final access route that was provided by the RV manufacturer for a rodent to complete a swan dive off the top of the tires directly into the undercarriage. Thank you for creating an easy fix.
Very satisfied with this product. My installation required removing the perforated portion of the plastic for the 2” hole. I actually used tin snips and cut up to the perforation about a half inch apart. Then used pliers to break each cut piece off. Was concerned that if I tried removing it in one piece, I might break or crack it. The only thing I wish was different is that the magnets were just a bit stronger. But all in all I’m very pleased at how tight it fits around the tube and how easy the installation went. 10 out of 10. Thank you RVRodentguard for a great product. I will highly recommend this product to any RV owner. I think my campground neighbors will be ordering a couple.

Had to do a little bit of trimming but worked out like a champ.
These worked perfect on my 2019 Forest River 401 FLX hydraulic slide rods. I purchased 6 of them and they not only worked on the rods but they sealed off the holes where my slide out electrical wires came through the frame.

Concept is great. Will give them to my nephew because they will not work on my RV. Our RV's slide outs have square rods not round. Other slide outs are wired and five feet off the ground.
